Fatima was assessed in the infectious
diseases outpatient clinic
Initial examinations found that Fatima had fine
crackles at the base of the left lower lobe on
auscultation. She was then admitted to the ID
ward, where she had a chest X-ray and was
started on treatment for pneumonia.*
At this time, Fatima had already been prescribed
multiple medications including
immunosuppressants, corticosteroids,
prophylactic antibiotics, antifungal and antiviral
medications, and vitamin supplements.
